Thank you for your interest in volunteering at East High School.  All individuals are required to complete the Denver Public Schools Volunteer Background clearance prior to formally volunteering with students.  Parents who are interested in volunteering with students other than their own must also complete this process.

Supervised Volunteering


​Any individual wishing to volunteer with students and in line of sight of a DPS staff member are required to complete a supervised volunteer application and undergo a Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Name only background check.                         

We have a new and improved simple volunteer application process online that takes less than 5 minutes for individuals to complete and submit. ​

Unsupervised Volunteering


​Any individual wishing to volunteer with students and are not in the line of sight of a DPS staff member are required to complete the Fingerprint Background Clearance. 

Supervising school staff members, from the department or program of the volunteer opportunity, will complete a request for fingerprinting for each volunteer.
